Apostille in Switzerland: real costs and real timing

Two questions decide whether you order tonight or lose a week researching: how much, and how long. Here are the honest answers.

The price, in plain figures

CHF 140 for the first document, CHF 120 from the second in the same order — chancellery fees, our service and registered return mail in Switzerland included — Swiss VAT of 8.1% is added at checkout. The notary-certified true copy your apostille sits on is included in the price. DHL: CHF 90 Europe, CHF 140 worldwide.

The timing, honestly

Standard: 1–2 business days from the moment your document reaches us. Most of it is the chancellery’s own turnaround, which we cannot compress — what we do compress is everything around it: same-day filing, correct routing, zero rejections.

What «express» really buys

Same-day express doubles the service price and puts your file first everywhere — our desk and the chancellery’s priority lane where one exists. It cannot bend an authority’s hard minimum; it eliminates every other day of slack.

The hidden costs we spare you

A wrong-canton filing bounces after a week. A missing prior notarisation bounces too. Travelling to a counter costs a half-day. The service exists precisely to make these non-events: you pay once, the document comes back ready.
